Teaching Assistant

The duties and responsibilities of the Teacher Assistant vary depending on the level of education. The Teacher Assistant is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functionality as well as supporting the emotional wellbeing of the students. The candidate needs a background in child development either through early child development classes or direct work experience. They should possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that allow them to interact positively with both adults and children.

Employment

  • 10 Month Term
  • 3 Days Per Week
  • 8am - 12:30pm
  • School Holidays and Breaks Off
  • Salary $250/week

Requirements

  • Mature Christian with a sense of calling to Christian education
  • Member of a local church with like-minded beliefs, regular attendance required
  • Agreement with the Statement of Faith and Mission Statement of CGCA
  • Able to model a consistent Christian life both in their classroom and in their personal life
  • Team player and flexible
  • Self starter or self motivated
  • Willing to take a Matthew 18 approach to resolving conflicts
  • Able to pass a background check
